Traditional Pontian Jewel Chain or Kosteki
Beautiful chest jewelry with Saint George and a long silver chain.
It can be worn by both men and women.
According to tradition, the chain was held by the "alepos" triangular or square accessory that adjusted the height of the chain and tightened around the neck. The rest of the chain fell richly in front of the chest up to the pocket while at the end there was a watch - which men usually placed it in a pocket of their clothing or in the right pocket of their vest while women placed it on their Lahori (heavy woolen fabric over the skirt).
